Josianne Cutajar magħżula bħala rappreżentanta fil-plenarja tal-Konferenza dwar il-Futur tal-Ewropa li qed titlaqqa’ llum fi Strasburgu

Il-membru Parlamentari Ewropew Maltija Josianne Cutajar ġiet magħżula mill-grupp tas-Soċjalisti Ewropej bħala rappreżentanta fil-plenarja għall-Konferenza dwar il-Futur tal-Ewropa li qed titlaqqa’ llum fi Strasburgu.

F’konferenza preparatorja tal-S&D u l-PES, il-Partit Soċjalista Ewropew, qabel is-sessjoni plenarja tal-lum, Josianne Cutajar tenniet li hemm bżonn Ewropa li tkun ferm aktar inklussiva u soċjali, Ewropa li turi solidarjetà bil-fatti.

“Hemm bżonn li nersqu dejjem eqreb lejn iċ-ċittadini tagħna u għandna nużaw il-Konferenza dwar il-Futur tal-Ewropa bħala okkażjoni fejn nisimgħu iżda fuq kollox naġixxu. Għandna bżonn Ewropa li ma tħalli l-ebda pajjiż, l-ebda reġjun u l-ebda persuna taqa’ lura” stqarret Dr Cutajar.

Il-MPE Maltija qalet li l-Ewropa għandha tkun hemm għall-ħaddiema, għal dawk vulnerabbli u għal dawk li jinsabu fil-periferija tal-Ewropa.

“L-Ewropa fuq kollox trid tkun hemm għal dawk il-persuni li qed jiġu diskriminati bħal ma ġara fl-Ungerija din il-ġimgħa, b’liġi diskriminatorja kontra l-komunità LGBTIQ” saħqet Josianne Cutajar.

Fl-aħħarnett Cutajar qalet li bħala grupp tas-Soċjalisti hemm bżonn li ssir ħidma ħalli jkunu ferm aktar viċin iċ-ċittadini rispettivi u ħalli tinġieb differenza pożittiva u reali fil-ħajja tan-nies.

MEP Josianne Cutajar selected as representative in the plenary of the Conference on the Future of Europe which is meeting today in Strasbourg

Maltese MEP Josianne Cutajar was chosen by the European Socialists as a representative in the plenary of the Conference on the Future of Europe which is being held today in Strasbourg.

At a preparatory conference (the first caucus) of the Socialists and Democrats Group of the European Parliament and the PES, the European Socialist Party, ahead of today’s plenary session, Josianne Cutajar reiterated the need for a much more inclusive and social Europe, as well as a Europe that shows effective solidarity.

“We need to get closes to our citizens, and we should use the Conference on the Future of Europe as an occasion to listen to our people’s concerns, but also to act. We need a Europe that ensures that no country, region or person falls behind” Dr Cutajar emphasized.

The Maltese MEP further stated that Europe should be there for all workers, vulnerable citizens and those on the European periphery.
